Swachhata – Swachh Bharat app – A transparent and accountable system of grievance redressal for swachh issue
The Swachhata application is complaint redressal mobile and web platform. The app enables a citizen to post a ‘swachh’ issue (eg; a garbage dump) which is then sent to the city corporation concerned and thereafter assigned to the sanitary inspector of the particular ward . This solution is for all the 4041 towns and cities of India.
The Swachhata application fuses together a time-tested complaint redressal platform with the opportunity for citizens to work together on civic issues with community centric features for citizens to vote up on complaints, share them with other concerned citizens and comment on the work being done.
The Swachhata -Swachh Bharat app is the official app of The Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM).
The app has been built by IChangeMyCity – a division of Janaagraha -as part of its Swachhata Solutions. Janaagraha is a Bengaluru based non-profit working to improve the quality of life in India’s cities and towns.
Process flow:
Take a picture of a garbage dump or any ‘Swachh’ related issue using your smart phone camera.
Following are the Swachh categories
- Garbage collection
- Garbage cleaning
- Cleanliness of public toilets
- Dead animals
- Structural maintenance of public toilets
Citizens can download
the mobile application and use it to file complaints. The citizens only need to take a picture of the complaint they see on the ground and post it through the Swachhata app.
The app can pinpoint the location of the complaint using the geo-location of the picture. It would automatically get forwarded to the municipal corporation for action.
Citizens get regular updates and notifications on the status of their complaint.
Citizens can send comments, feedback, reply to status messages and give final comments after verifying whether the complaint has been resolved on the ground.
Users can also vote up on complaints in their locality or complaints uploaded by friends and neighbours.
The plan is very good but how much time taken the swatch abhinay after the upload photo.everyone known that munciple people work very lazy.after the apps which people come.
As you know that government now changing smoothly towards paperless work & its improving the system & also adapting a e-governance policies .As today all max certificates getting online at your home siting end. Give a chance to the old system to improve towards new system using these app & definitely improvement will be seen soon .
