Rs 2,000 note has been taken out of circulation, but it has not been demonetized, and the Rs 2,000 note will continue to be legal tender.

According to the RBI announcement, no person in any branch of any bank will be able to exchange more than 10 notes of Rs 2,000 at a time.

If a person reaches the counter 10 times in a single day, then he will be able to exchange 100 notes in the same day by taking 10-10 notes every time and continue for several days.

No form will have to be filled to exchange Rs 2,000 notes. No need to show any identity card to exchange the 2,000 rupee note.

There is a limit of 10 notes at a time for exchanging Rs 2,000 notes, but in the case of Rs 2,000 notes, any amount can be deposited in the bank account, and no limit has been set for that.

As per RBI's announcement, Rs 2,000 note is, and will continue to be, legal tender. Any purchase or payment can be made through it.

Even if you do not have a bank account, you can go to any branch of any bank and exchange Rs 2,000 notes.

One can reach any branch of any bank to exchange Rs 2,000 notes, and the notes can be exchanged.

Senior citizens are also allowed to exchange 10 notes of Rs 2,000 each at  a time with no exemption.

According to the current announcement of RBI, 2,000 rupees notes can be exchanged by visiting the bank till Saturday, September 30, 2023.
